Detail Itinerary

Day (1) Yangon arrival
  Welcome at Yangon International Airport and transfer to hotel and overnight in Yangon.

Day (2) Yangon - Mandalay (train)
Breakfast at hotel, transfer to railway station and board on Mandalay bound train (11UP 0600-2200). Upon arrival in Mandalay, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Mandalay.(**There might be some delay en route because of some sections of the tracks being qualitatively below par and the train itself being many years old. Of course, there is a great deal of difference between these trains and bullet trains.)

Day (3) Mandalay free
You will be on your own to explore Mandalay. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day (4) Mandalay Sightseeing, Mandalay - Myitkyina (train)
Breakfast at hotel; visit "the largest book" at Kuthodaw Pagoda where entire Buddhist canon recorded on stone tablets totaling 729 in number and Shwekyaungdaw "golden monastery" to observe finest Myanmar wooden architecture etc, Mahamuni Buddha Image. After Lunch, transfer to railway station and board on night train for Myitkyina. (37UP 1200-0800+1) Overnight in train.

Day (5) Myitkyina free
Transfer to hotel and take relaxation of the day. Overnight at hotel in Myitkyina.

Day (6) Myitkyina Sightseeing
Breakfast at hotel; continue to Myitsone to observe confluence of Maykha and Malikha which later form as Myanmar life span Ayeyarwaddy River which flows all the way to the Bay of Bengal. Cruising to and fro along the Maykha River and back to Myitkyina, transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel in Myitkyina.
Early morning transfer to jetty for a day cruise to Bagan along Myanma lifespan Ayeyarwaddy River. (*Shwekeinnery departs Mandalay at 06:00) Upon arrival in Bagan, transfer to hotel and overnight in Bagan.

Day (7) Myitkyina - Inndawgyi Lake (coach)
Breakfast at hotel; depart for Inndawgyi Lake via Moekaung with Kachin minority villages along the way. Arrive Inndawgyi Lake and boat cruising across the lake visit to Shwe Myitzu Pagoda in the middle of the lake and bird watching. Overnight at guest house in Inndawgyi village.

Day (8) Inndawgyi Sightseeing - Myitkyina (coach)
Sightseeing at Inndawgyi village in the morning, come back to Myitkyina. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight in Myitkyina.

Day (9) Myitkyina - Bamo (coach)
Breakfast at hotel; depart for Bamo, upon arrival transfer to hotel. Stroll around this Kachin settlement town and Kachin handcraft display. Overnight in Bamo.

Day (10) Bamo (horse cart)
Explore local market often filled with ethnic tribes such as Kachin, Lisu and Shan. Proceed to the city wall of Sampanago, the Shan Kingdom. Visit old Bamo town with its magnificent Theindawgyi Pagoda. Overnight in Bamo.

Day (11/12) Bamo - Mandalay (cruise)
Depart for jetty and board on a so called luxury boat to Mandalay (Pyi Myanmar usually takes between Bamo and Mandalay three day-two night long.) The scenery along the upper reaches of the Ayeyarwaddy is beautiful with riverbanks are lush with bamboo and other floras, which passes through the scenic Second Defile. Overnight on board.

Day 13 Mandalay - Sagaing (coach)
Arrive at Mandalay in the morning, transfer to hotel. Proceed to Sagaing to visit famous Kaungmudaw Pagoda and around picturesque Sagaing hill, a retreat for Buddhist devotees. Observe fantastic sunset view from unique 200 year old U Bain wooden bridge. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 14 Mandalay - Yangon (high-way express)
Breakfast at hotel and a leisure morning, afternoon transfer to Highway terminal and board on Yangon bound express car. Overnight on express car.

Day 15 Yangon free
Welcome at Highway terminal in Yangon and transfer to Hotel, take relaxation. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 16 Yangon Departure
Breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for your onward flight to complete this unique expedition.
