Myeik archipelago Myeik archipelago, situated along the coast of southern part of Myanmar, being near the equator, the weather is usually hot and wet. The islands lie in the area not far away from Thai border beyond a mountain of over 4000 ft. The distance from the start of the Taninthayi Division to Dawei is 81 mile. There are three districts, viz. Dawei, Myeik and Kawthaung.
